  The Christmas holiday season is upon us now, with decorating, shopping, cooking, and of course, cakes, pies and fudge! I just had to try this super good fudge recipe for myself. It is To Die For! What makes this fudge so special is that it is actually “good for you”.

 

You may say fudge is fudge Ken, what makes this fudge so special? It is rich in vitamins, minerals and fiber – which are the essential nutritional building blocks for perfect health. these blockbusters all come from one ingredient that makes this fudge so special…Coconut Oil   

Coconut oil is known to have one of the highest concentrations of saturated fat (just over 90%) of foods known to man. One of the biggest myths surrounding coconut oil has been disproved finally, by new studies. These new studies have proved what local islanders have known for generations – that consumption of coconuts are very beneficial to you and your health.

Coconut oil contains medium-length fatty acids, which provide your body with a quick source of energy as these acids are synthesized quickly. Also in addition, the medium chain tryglicerides help increase the energy expenditure of the body – which will add music to many people – because over time this will result to losing weight.

Since coconut oil leaves your body feeling satiation, the long-term effects include reduction of appetite and a reduction of cholesterol in the body, leading to lower chances of cardiovascular diseases. And, if that was not good enough, coconut oil can also be applied externally to your body. It can act like a very good sunscreen, moisturize and improve the aspect of the skin, and even protect against hair deterioration.
